Hot Stone Therapy
Heated basalt stones used as therapeutic tools to penetrate deep tension and prime tissue for intensive work.
About Hot Stone Therapy
Hot stone therapy at Root to Recovery is not a spa treatment — it is a clinical tool. We use heated basalt stones to deliver penetrating warmth deep into muscle tissue, softening chronic tension and increasing blood flow before and during hands-on work. The heat allows us to access deeper tissue layers more efficiently, making every minute of the session more productive. This is particularly effective for clients whose muscles are so guarded that they resist cold-start deep tissue work. The stones do the prep work so our hands can do the real work.
Benefits
- Penetrating heat softens chronic muscle tension before deep work
- Increases local blood circulation for faster tissue response
- Allows deeper access without excessive pressure on sensitive areas
- Reduces muscle guarding for more effective therapeutic outcomes
